Single click the icon to play/pause the leftmost YouTube tab, double click to skip. The icon shows elapsed time and video length.
Wow, this just works exactly like I want it to. Elegant design (the icon shows time elapsed over total video time). Pauses and skips to the next video perfectly. I can definitely imagine switching from Spotify to a YouTube playlist now - a perk I wasn't expecting is that I don't get distracted by the video in music videos with this extension.
