When I look for Code Editors, I want ones that actually run and not just let you write. I could just use Google Docs to achieve the same thing.

its good for short notes, a search-function and optional wrapping of text would be useful

Simple, functional, and very intuitive. The best free text editor I've come across for Chrome OS.
