March 2025, it worked for me. Important: After installing the extension, close and re-open Chrome. Then go to your group "Members" tab (look at the URL, it should say have /members at the end). Press the extension's little red icon at the top right of your browser bar (if you don't see it, look under the icon that looks like a puzzle piece). I chose "Private Group - Delete all members". It works very slowly, deleting them one by one, just as you would do, because otherwise Facebook will shut it down. When finished, I had to leave Facebook and come back again to get rid of the "Buy me a coffee" banner. I then opened the group, and from the "..." menu, chose "Leave this group," and it asked me if I wanted to delete it forever, and I said, YES! After killing off five dormant groups this way, I decided to buy them that coffee. :-)
