Use shortcuts in the address bar to redirect to commonly used sites.
Works but rules gets overwritten by default rules with each new install of the extension. So each time I log in on a new computer, my rule list gets overridden.
If you enjoy using key words on specific bookmarked url's for quick direct access similar to Firefox users have been enjoying and you want to add this function back in where as Google has decided to screw their users who've been using this feature for years I may add by disabling it. Using their specific search query coding to me is pointless and has ruined my workflow that I've been using for years. Google yet again kills a perfectly good thing for no reason. The Brave Browser, which I've switched to for 2 years now looked into the matter and at the moment is included back in their Nightly releases for now. Maybe it will be on the regular Brave soon. See, https://community.brave.com/t/site-search-shortcut-keys-not-working-in-brave-browser/602648 Now in comes web extension add-ons. Looking for a worthy replacement I ran into this one and instead of 3 fields to work with it's 2 which is great! Because inputting each entry takes up so much time. When you make an entry on this you must click the pen, add in the web address and the key word then you must click the pen again to confirm the entry otherwise you'll lose it if you click outside its window. Using the key word, however, using this add-on requires an additional text entry. For example if you wrote yt as the key word for the youtube address normally but with the add on you'll need to add the forward slash / for example yt/ to directly go to youtube. A minor issue but I understand it. This isn't problematic. My issue though is with this is maybe the developers forgot there are serious serial key word addicts out there, me being the case. I say this is because if you're a serious key word junky you eventually will run into limitation that being 46 entries. Another issue is I have no way of saving a backup in case something goes wrong with the browser or extension corruption as there's no import or export option. All entries done by hand would not be good if all went to waste without a means to save a backup copy. So I must knock it down again. If the developer could extend the number of entries that can be created to 100-200 or more and add in import and export options preferably to TXT format if possible (ex. yt/ | youtube dot com) or in a .json file (I don't think I can edit these but will happily accept saving it as a backup) or whatever format would be easiest yet remain private as I wrote adding all those entries took up some time and I do not like wasting my time. This would get an easy 5 star from me.
Works great. Just what us keyboard addicts need!!
