Companion browser extension for mSecure that provides auto-login features in your web browser.
Does nothing on Windows. I was sick and tired of copying and pasting login credentials like some kind of medieval scribe, so I thought, Hey, maybe mSecure has a Chrome extension! Lo and behold, they do! Excitedly, I clicked Add to Chrome—the download finished, the extension appeared, and I clicked on it… nothing. Cue 30 minutes of troubleshooting, only to discover that despite existing for several years, this extension simply does not work on Windows. Naturally, I uninstalled it in frustration—only to have to reinstall it just so I could leave this review. To be fair, they do have this in their description: "For the initial release of mSecure 6, mSecure's Browser Extension will only be available for Mac. Windows support is coming soon." Which would be fine… except today’s date is March 20, 2025, and their last update was March 16, 2022. So either “Coming Soon” means something very different to them, or I should start bracing myself for the Windows release of Half-Life 3.
Doesn't work. Don't waste your time.
It seems that it doesn't do anything, or I cannot figure it out, well, can't write a zero stars review. I use mSecure on other platforms and have used it for years, there are problems with auto-populating passwords into browsers, I use it as a secure password and notes database where I 'Look Up' passwords when I forget them and copy paste them into the browser as needed.
