Might be tricky to set it up, but if you figure this out it's exactly what I needed to optimize my workflow - specially with the shortcuts also working (I'm using now CTRL+SHIFT+X to make this special copy)

We needed this, it works great both in Opera and Chrome (even though it is differently). To configure the shortcut keys (this is not documented and hard to find) just go to: chrome://extensions/shortcuts
