Save and restore windows.
Got a new laptop and learned that Chrome might stop supporting this extension because it doesn't follow best practices. I added and tried several other tab savers, but I had to come back to this one--it's the simplest to use! It allows me to name windows and save them as a group, then easily access and update so I can open them as a group again. My only wish is that I could have saved my old windows on my last laptop.
Note here for anyone who can no longer open a certain Window. If you have any tabs that are downloaded files, such as a pdf that you downloaded and opened via chrome browser, that will cause errors and crash the saved window group. To fix this, you need to go to your extensions and enable developer mode, then right click on the extension icon and click inspect. From there click the Console tab, then local data, then you can find your window and each tab. This will look like computer coding stuff. Then it will list out tabs 0-... expand each area and you will see the URLs you saved. Copy and reopen, then save as a new Window. Going forward, do not exit your saved Window if there are any downloaded files you are viewing via the browser tabs, or it will CRASH your saved window.
