I haven't had any issues accessing or using gifs on gmail compose or hangouts, but for the past several months the options I'm getting are extremely limited, worse and worse quality, and many are customized with people's names so they're useless. I also know there are billions of gifs out there, but I only get to see ~15-20 per search term. E.g., "birthday" in the search box returned 19 options, 13 of them were customized with a name. They change daily, but the quality of the search results keeps getting worse.
