Real time Zendesk Ticket Notifications
The extension is great! And the team was super responsive to fix a small bug I found. For any support agent who wish to get notified by sound on new tickets, I highly recommend it!
I will start by saying that it is unbelievable to me that Zendesk has no native alerts feature, even just a popup to notify you when a ticket has hit the triage queue. By default, your workflow basically must include tabbing to Zendesk and clicking the refresh button every few minutes (losing track of what you are doing in the process!). Luckily there are enterprising individuals in this world who are not simply content to suffer under the yoke of workflow interruptions, and they made this extension. It is simple in concept, but absolutely feature complete, highly configurable, and very responsive (alerting to new tickets within 5 seconds or so of them arriving). You can easily configure it to watch only specific queues, alert you on new comments, status changes, or just new tickets in those queues, push a notification through to your OS or use sound alerts only, change the alerting sound (covering everything from professional pings to the hilarious donal message "There is a new message for my master!"). The app refreshes its login whenever you open Zendesk so there was never a case where I was silently logged out and not receiving notifications or anything (sometimes an issue with alternatives). I would say this is a mandatory cost for any discerning Zendesk user!!
